Dear Editors,
Was truly disappointed that even when both me and my husband are Singaporean we are unable to get tickets to both preview and actual day NDP after trying to ballot for it the past 10 years or more.
Not being able to get our hands on the tickets, we will try to watch the fireworks by going to marine Bay Area to watch. Being the SG50 this year, we thought we would like to be part of it even more. but having 2 children, 1 at 3 years old and another at barely 1 year old it is simply not a easy feat, carrying large amount of things, sweating badly and of course braving the large crowd. After the event, my 3 year old woke up in the middle of the night with high fever.
Not complaining here but the maddening part is friends and people you know are going every other year. Question is why are the same people able to go after every 2-3 years whereas some people just never gets a chance? How fair is this? Have the NDP community look into ways to let everyone enjoy and celebrates the event? I really hope to attend it with my childrens for at least once without having to brave the large crowd and squeezing like sardine.
From
A Very frustrated Singaporean
