Here are some ways to go local and really understand the day-to-day needs of an average Singaporean. If you are elected, live as them and see how quickly certain policies will change.
1. Live in a 4-room HDB flat and take the public transport everyday. If you have enough money leftover, you can indulge in the occasional taxi rides.
2. Ministers who proclaim that $1k a month can buy a HDB flat, please go ahead and live on $1k a month till the end of your elected term.
3. Collect cardboard boxes as part of your daily exercise and see how beneficial it is to your hands, legs and back.
4. Have a salary of $3-5k a month instead of the current $15k.
If you can live on all the above per your elected term, you deserve to serve another term as you would probably raised some issues in Parliament and effected a change.
