It was not just any National Day. It was Singapore’s Golden Jubilee – the 50th celebration of the sovereignty of our Nation. The day when all citizens of Singapore stood united and looked back on our achievements with pride and joy. Most importantly, the hard work and dedication of our pioneers, as well as the ongoing contribution of our citizens, which have made it what it is today.

On that day, we rejoiced in our nation’s birth, as well as what it has achieved over 50 years since Independence. It is bad enough that many citizens were denied TICKETS to the “LIVE NATIONAL DAY PARADE CELEBRATIONS”. Even former MP Tan Cheng Bock, who was instrumental in fostering racial unity, as well as always being humble, honest and upright in his dealings with all Singaporeans, was denied access to tickets to the National Day Parade. What made it worse was foreign nationals like EMMA LEE were given tickets easily, the most irritating thing was the camera kept focusing on “FOREIGNERS” when Singapore was celebrating our 50th anniversary.

I think Mediacorp needs to explain, why a foreign national was constantly focused on when “NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATIONS WERE GOING ON LIVE”. WHAT WAS THERE A NEED TO DO THAT??? WHY ONLY HER, IF YOU NEED TO SHOW FOREIGN NATIONALS, YOU CAN SIMPLY SHOW A GROUP OF FOREIGN NATIONALS!!!.

MEDIACORP IS MOST CERTAINLY USING OUR TAX-PAYERS MONEY ON NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATIONS IN AN INSENSITIVE AND IRRESPONSIBLE WAY….

SINGAPOREANS, DO YOU THINK MEDIACORP IS JUSTIFIED IN FOCUSING ON THE CHINA NATIONAL CONSTANTLY, ON OUR 50TH NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATIONS!!??
