Last nite, went to bed as usual at 11.30pm. Slept alone as wifey is on biz trip. Suddenly woke up at 1.30am with my heart pounding away for no reason, didn't have any nightmare as far as I can recall. Tried going back to sleep but had this uneasy feeling that there is something in the room. Thinking that it is just my imagination, I shrugged it off and closed my eyes to try to sleep.
Just as I was drifting into sleep, felt something brushes against my leg! Quickly jump up and on the light thinking that it might be some insect, but there is nothing. By this time, my heart is pounding away liao. This time I left the light on and tried to sleep again. Again just when I was about to knock-off, heard someone whispering into my ear......WALAN, straightaway jump out of bed and dashed out of the room. That time was 3.30am liao.
Stayed in the living room and watched TV with the lights on. Managed to fall asleep in my couch and woke up at 5.30am when my kids are up to prepare for school. Send my kids downstair to take their schoolbuss at 6.15am and then return to catch up my sleep in the living room.
In the office, I related my ordeal to my colleagues, and they told me that 7th hungry ghost month begins on 14 Aug. I am not the superstitious kind, but last night ordeal really have me thinking.
I hope tonight the same thing will not happen again.
