The Singapore Police Force (SPF) have arrested a 41 year-old foreign man for slashing 38 year-old Pinoy domestic worker Ms Allen Remedios, believed to be his ex-girlfriend, in the neck and hands on Sunday.
Ms Remedios was attacked near her address at Block 311, Tampines Street 33 at about 6.30PM that day. Her attacker had fled immediately after the crime. Ms Remedios was conveyed conscious to hospital despite suffering from deep gashes on her hands and a nearly severed windpipe.
In a police statement released yesterday, the 41 year-old male foreigner would be charged in court for causing grievous hurt to Ms Remedios, who is currently recuperating in Singapore Generall Hospital.
Police found a bloodied 15cm-long paper cutter in the vicinity of the block.
A fellow foreign domestic worker, who works for the same employer as Ms Remedios, told reporters that Ms Remedios had broken up with her former boyfriend 3 months ago. However, her boyfriend, a foreign construction worker, was often spotted loitering at the block for about an hour on Sundays since they broke up.
