First off,i would like to state that I have absolutely 0 interest in politics whatsoever. I have neither the knowledge, intelligence, nor the patience for circus antics. But I must say, this ongoing GE have really caught my attention. So while I'm not going to comment about the bare minimal I've learnt about this onslaught thus far, please allow me to share my peanuts worth of experience with politics at the grassroots level.
I used to stay in a condo. That's where, for the first time,I've experienced something called "management committee". AKA(dun mind me): FUCKING FULL OF SHIT NOTHING BETTER TO DO TWO FACE SONS OF JACKALS.
Why so aggressive, you may ask. Living there for 17 years(thank god for my buddies),I've seen my fair share of misconduct by people who " promised to serve". If you have been patient enough to read to this point, let me walk you through... All the genuinely qualified residents, have got better things to do. So the ones who run for committee, are the housewife, uncles, half past six residents. And I have personally witnessed the abuse of authority.
Secretary is a gym rat.Gym always renew equipment.
Billiard room-(Our sanctuary).Carpet poked with so many holes it'll make a hooker blush. No repairs...
Committee member scold my sis n says she's "Not allowed at club house for making too much noise", telling her to go home.Fuck you,our unit more ex than yours...
Member confiscated our soccer ball.Too dangerous.(Hi Annie Yong).
But her son dashes about the estate with his deisel powered bicycle(before they were banned)
10pm cut off time for bbqs.
Chairman gets lighting/deco put up by MAINTENANCE STAFF,PARTYING TILL PAST MIDNIGHT...(WITNESSED BY ALL SECURITY STAFF).
ANNUAL FAMILY DAY LUCKY DRAW ANNOUNCEMENT... PHONE - MEMBER(COMMITTEE), CD PLAYER - MEMBER, FLAT SCREEN TV - MEMBER. 90% OF PRIZES goes to members - Need I say more? Staff who became friends admitted that not only are lucky draws rigged, members go on shopping sprees to choose the prizes they want'
Wtf. If this can go on in a condo, what more our country?
"With great power,comes great responsibility."
I agree.
But I must add...
WITH GREAT POWER,COMES GREAT TEMPTATION.
Vote wisely.
