Dear Singaporeans,
Please friends... don't do this on your polling card. This year's polling card will include photographs of the candidates.
Do take note that Any Markings on the polling card will be used against you by PAP's counting agents to pull the vote over or regarded as spoilt.
Defacing the candidates' faces will contribute to this unfortunate event. For example... If you have marked a cross in the box next to the party symbol belonging to opposition party, then decided to draw some beard and pirate eye on a PAP candidate's face, the vote paper may be regarded as spoilt because you made markings to both party.
Another example. If you leave the boxes next to the party symbols empty and draw a pirate eye on a PAP candidate's face, the vote may go to the PAP. However if both boxes are empty and you decided to draw a smiley on the face of an opposition candidate, your polling card may be regarded as spoilt if the opposition counting agent was not aware of the situation.
So any markings other than in the box next to the party of your choice will likely cost the opposition one vote. Please please avoid that.
