After GE2015, Low Thia Khiang became longest serving Opposition MP (1991-2020=29 Years). Chiam See Tong stopped at 27 Years (1984-2011).

A little silver lining for opposition supporters, particularly WP supporters:
- Png Eng Huat is the first opposition MP to retain a SMC seat after taking over from another opposition MP in the previous election.
- WP's Aljunied team is the first opposition team to retain a GRC seat.
- Low Thia Khiang will now be the longest serving opposition MP in Singapore's history- 29 years. (1991 to 2020.)
