Our reader came across an interesting Facebook post on the SPCA Facebook page.
According to one "Aileen Tan", she discovered a PRC shop called Song Hua Jiang Restaurant selling braised dog meat on their menu. The address of the restaurant: Blk 350 Jurong East Ave 1 #01-1233 S(600350).
She asked SPCA whether the sale of dog meat is legal in Singapore. She also posted a link to the menu of the restaurant which allegedly sells the dog meat item in its menu. Another concerned reader has also contributed a photo of the offensive menu item.
The SPCA posted that it has sent its query to the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority in Singapore, but there has been no response to Aileen's query since.
Does this mean the sale of dog meat by the PRC restaurant is legal in Singapore?
