Singapore's largest childcare operator, NTUC’s My First Skool has raised its school fees making this the third fees increase in 3 years.
In a notification sent to My First Skool parents, the fee increases average from S$34 per month for childcare to S$14 for infant care next year. Nursery classes saw the largest fee increase of S$69.02. This unilateral fee increase will apply to 113 of their 120 childcare centres.
To help parents cushion these fee increase, My First Skool will give parents a rebate from January to March. My First Skool insists that annual fee increases are important to improve the quality of their childcare programmes and due to rising operating costs.
