Dear All Singapore Stuff,
Please refer to the attachment. Some old boys of St. Andrew's School are not happy about the upcoming condominiums in Potong Pasir SMC being named the Andrew Residences and the Andrew Village. Since the condominiums are nowhere near St. Andrew's Road, why aren't they named The Potong Pasir Residences instead? Is the name Potong Pasir something that needs to be avoided? Moreover, is this misappropriation of the school's heritage and identity?
Some have expressed other concerns about the condominium projects in the area. With many condominiums and a shopping mall to be built in Potong Pasir in the years ahead, will the infrastructure be improved in advance to ensure that there are no major traffic jams in the area which was once known for its rustic charm?
