Environmental experts predict that the blanket of haze in South East Asia is expected to continue until next year as Indonesia is unable to put out the raging forest fires on time. ASEAN members are putting increased pressure onto Indonesia who failed to put out the fires and now face more hot spots in eastern Indonesia.
Indonesia officials and analysts estimating the haze will last until early 2016, with some even speculating persistent haze till March 2016.
Although the wet season is expected to arrive, El Nino dry conditions are hindering man-made efforts to control the fires. NASA satellites detected 1729 hot spots on Wednesday, more than any single day in the past 2 years.
