PRIVATE DEGREE HOLDERS LOOKED DOWN UPON, UNABLE TO GAIN RELEVANT EXPERIENCE DUE TO EMPLOYER PREJUDICE

I am a Degree holder and I have an hard time finding for a suitable job in
the same field as what I studied for. I did my Diploma in a local polytechnic
and I took my Degree in Kaplan, yes its a private Degree. so? If it isn't
recognized than why are we allowed to take private degrees in Singapore?

I went for many interviews and many people looked down on me and ask me for
years of experience. Are you guys trying to tell everyone that after one
finishes their Diploma they need to work first? friends who have no Degree
and have many years experience, but employers ask them for a Degree.
Can you make up your mind? If you do not want to pay us well, than don't
discriminate us.

I am currently working in an Admin job, closed to a year.I have done many
part time jobs and freelance, before I came to this job. Why doesn't it count
as an experience? My pay are like peanuts now, if I switch job it is easier
to get into Admin field than my preferred field. This is definitely not what I
want to do in future. I want to love what I am doing and not drag myself to
work.

My question to all employers are, ' HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO GAIN
EXPERIENCE WHEN YOU ARE NOT EVEN GIVING ME A CHANCE?'.
