Dear Editor,
This was recently posted in one of the Malaysian driving group where they caught a Singaporean pumping Ron 95 into his car at a petrol kiosk near the Malaysian immigration towards Tuas checkpoint. Under the Malaysian law, foreign vehicles are not allowed to buy Ron 95 petrol coz of heavy subsidy for the locals. Only Ron 97 petrol for foreign registered vehicle. Clearly this Singaporean disregard the local law. It makes the locals angry and that's why Singaporeans have a bad reputation in JB. If Singaporeans behave responsibly and graciously then I believe we would be more welcome in other countries.
