SINGAPORE: A student who had just received her PSLE score of 250 told her friends who got a lower score than her that they did badly.
Clementi Primary student "jovys woo" said on ask.fm that her friends giselle and riya, who got 216 and 233 for PSLE, did badly and that they were "officially not very smart". She went on to say, "This is my honest opinion. I am telling you guys straight to your face."
After netizens pointed out that it was wrong of her to shame her friends, she was defiant and said "whatever I didn't do anything wrong lol" and "216 and 233 are bad scores so I just tell them la".
As jovys realised that her account was getting a lot attention and more followers from the saga, she began to "haolian" show off the number of followers she had gained and said, "wow I'm quite famous now cos I get a lot of qns but I might not be able to reply."
Jovys later tried to apologise but many could sense her apology was not sincere. She also said that she would deactivate her account so that "we won't ever have to think of this."
Is this the attitude and character that our Singapore schools are trying to promote? That your score means everything and you can put down those who score lower than you?
