I'm being working as a Air Stewardess for close to 5 years now. People usually thought that it's a glamorous job and initially I felt the same way initially. I still remembered I was over the moon when I got selected to be a cabin crew. It's been a dream for me and my female poly friends. It felt great to be the only one who make it to cabin crew among my friends. I think the time I enjoyed the most in this job was during the training period. I learned about personal grooming, flight safety and customer service....... I met a few interesting people during my course and the guys are tall and handsome, I really enjoyed their company.

The initial few months were interesting because I can go romantic places like London, Paris, Zurich............. and I have the company of cabin crews and they are interesting people. I enjoyed travelling to this places and I'm proud to an Air Stewardess. But after the honey phase, I started to get sick because of the irregular sleep and eating patterns. I'm particularly prone to jet lags and I usually have terrible headaches due to the lack of sleep, my temper changed to the worse. But in the end of the day, it's a job I signed up for and I have a 2 years bond to complete.

I guess a lot of people heard rumours of Cabin Crews sleeping together and having affairs. Guess it's true in an environment of pretty women and handsome men. Sleeping around and having affairs with married Air Stewards or pilots is a norm. Some even have sex orgy parties in the hotel rooms. Usually we have 2 off days overseas, we being this place many times and there's nothing left to see. We will usually stay at the hotel, drinking in our hotel room. Sometimes, we will invite our patch guys to chat with us and naturally it becomes a drinking party. I guess it would be a interesting life as a Cabin Crew. But it's usually unhappy endings where there are a lot of divorces among Cabin Crews marriages and some married pilots also ended up in divorce. Guess we cabin crew tend to overspend and even a First Officer/Captain salaries cannot support them.

The thing about Cabin Crew are they have plenty of bad habits. I'm not a saint and I eventually picked up their bad habits. Because most Cabin Crew are relatively young 22-27 and have a high disposable income of $7000-$10,000 per month, they are prone to overspend. Buying branded goods and luxury cars using credit. Actually, majority of the cabin crew are in debt ($100,000plus). They also don't have any idea on how to repay their heavy debt. I guess we live in the present moment.

I'm a fine example of a young person in debt. Because I always went out with my Cabin Crews friends, I have this peer pressure to buy branded goods and luxury car to be the same status as them. Very soon, I suddenly found myself in credit cards' debts of $300,000++ and 60% of my monthly income was used just to service the interest. I had no idea how will I be able to repay the debt. As for my boyfriend, he is also a cabin crew and he's no better shape financially than me, he owns car and housing loans of $200,000++.

Receiving letters and calls from creditors/banks is no joke, it certainly adds stress to my daily life. I have to find a way to repay my debts. Other than flying, I've plenty of off days in Singapore, so I thought of approaching Social Escort Agencies. I know majority of the Social Escort Agencies charge commission from the girls.
