Scoot flight TZ8 to Perth was originally scheduled to leave Singapore's Changi Airport on 20th June at 12.10PM, but was delayed over 6 times due to an unexplained "technical issue". Passengers, who boarded the plane but were asked to disembark twice due to plane problems were up in arms after the numerous delays.
To make matters worse, passengers were asked to return home without any reimbursement for taxi fares after it became apparent that the plane's problems would not be ready anytime soon. Passengers were told that the new flight departure time would be 9.50AM on Sunday.
Although Scoot eventually offered $50 travel vouchers to its customers, these vouchers did not compensate customers for their pre-arranged hotel and other bookings.
