The Singapore Police Force announced on Saturday that a 17 year old Singaporean was being investigated for making religiously offensive remarks online after multiple police reports were lodged against the youth.
Mainstream media reports that the boy in question is teenage youtube sensation Amos Yee. Yee was previously convicted of wounding the feelings of Christians back in May. He spent almost 50 days in jail after breaching his bail conditions on 3 occasions.
In Yee's latest Facebook post on Saturday afternoon, he "confirmed" that he was the teen being investigated by the police. He said:
"'StraitsTimes! You have no proof! Just because somebody is 17 years old and makes anti-religious remarks doesn't mean it's automatically me and linked to my anti-Islam comments.
But yeah you're right, it was me. I'm sorry I couldn't resist"
