Our reader was kicked out of her holiday flight by a co-traveler, who used her identity to cancel her flight ticket and replace her with another person she did not know!
Why is Jetstar allowing random strangers posing as customers to amend flight details as and when they like?
Read her complaint below.
I reproduce below a feedback I have submitted on the Jetstar website, for your urgent attention.
I had made a booking for SG-BKK, for 28-30 Jan 2016, for 2 persons, which has been amended without my permission or knowledge. I have called Jetstar and have been informed that my then co-traveller, Nur-Diana Aziz (HP: +65 97547121, email: ndaziz@kns.com), has provided an UNKNOWN CONTACT NUMBER (+65 97517279), the owner of which had PRETENDED TO ME, to allow the cancellation of MY seat, and addition of an unknown person to the booking I made.
As relayed to me by the Jetstar representative I spoke to, Michael, I understand this is a breach of Jetstar/Australian laws, and I am sure it is also against the national law in my country of residence. I seek Jetstar to open a legal investigation and provide me with assistance as I have now lost the prepayment I have made for my trip, due to this breach of privacy and fraud. How did Jetstar allow this to happen? I plead for an answer and compensation for this unnecessary frustration and distress.
Further to the feedback and this email, I will be lodging a report to the Singapore Police as Nur-Diana Aziz has been uncontactable since, eradicating any possibility of resolving this issue, without the authorities.
I beseech you, to please look into this matter as it has greatly affected me emotionally as my planned trip was supposed to be in 3 days time, and will without a doubt affect my future flight booking decisions.
I appreciate your sincere response.
Best Regards,
Nora Suzanna
