A fire the size of a football field broke out yesterday at about 9.15PM on Pulau Ubin, an island northeast of Singapore.
A netizen, HarithHarith, tweeted that the location of the fire was along the Ketam Bike Trail on the island.
10 Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) personnel and Police Coast Guard officers were on the scene.
The SCDF told media that they had received a call for help at about 9.18PM and deployed a fire engine, a red rhino and another vehicle to the site. They disocovered that a piece of vegetation had caught fire and was put out by canvas beaters and water.
Outward Bound Singapore (OBS), which has a training camp on the island, posted on Facebook yesterday to inform concerned members of the public that none of the participants in their camps were affected by the fire.
