A 37 year-old tattooed male, Mr Ang Kim Kiat, was killed this morning after challenging a neighborhood coffee stall worker to a fight.
The incident, which took place at a coffee shop under Block 23, Hougang Avenue 3, started when the younger tattooed man became irritated with a coffee stall uncle. He shouted at the elderly man and accused him of staring at him.
The two men took their dispute away from the coffee shop, but the fight escalated, with the coffee stall worker using a vegetable knife and plunging it into Mr Ang.
Police arrived at the bloody scene located at a lift lobby about 100 meters away from the coffee shop. They found the victim stabbed in the neck. Police also retrieved the probable murder weapon at the scene.
Investigations are ongoing.
