A video of a group of kindergarten children being made to bow three times to Lee Kuan Yew's picture on the wall has gone viral on the internet. Netizen Tengmu Fuming shared his video on Monday morning and it has since spread like wildfire.
In his Facebook post, he captioned "the kindergarten at my block asking the children to bow three time out of respect to the photo of Mr Lee after telling them a short story of him. Do the children understand?"
Why are our kindergarten children made to perform such rituals for their school activities? Aren't they supposed to be doing real learning instead of learning to be sycophants? Have Singapore officially become a capitalist North Korea in South East Asia?
It is uncertain which Kindergarten is responsible for this incident. The uniform the children are wearing appears to be predominantly white with shades of red and blue.
