In another chilling case of an alleged youth suicide, a 13 year-old male student, Ng Tey Kiat, was found dead at the foot of a HDB block at Jelebu Road yesterday night.
At about 10.30PM yesterday, Ng, who was still dressed in his school uniform, fell from Block 183 along Jelebu Road and landed onto the concrete pavement with a sickening loud crash. He is believed to have died of his injuries shortly after. Paramedics who arrived pronounced him dead on the scene.
Ng was not a resident of the block, but his school was located less than 1KM away.
Unsuspecting neighbors thought that someone had thrown a heavy object from a height, but curious onlookers soon realized to their horror that someone had committed suicide.
Despite the presence of witnesses, no one has come forward with information on what transpired before the boy's alleged suicide. None were sure whether Ng was alone when he died, or why he was loitering around his school so late at night.
Police investigations are underway.
