A serious accident along the MCE during the evening peak hour today caused traffic to back up all the way to Telok Blangah.
After colliding with a tipper truck, the driver of a private bus was trapped in his vehicle and had to be freed by SCDF using hydraulic tools.
There were a total of 28 casualties, but luckily no one died.
Thirteen people were sent to the Singapore General Hospital, nine to Tan Tock Seng Hospital and six to Changi General Hospital.
