A 41 year old engineer living at Kang Choo Bin Walk in the Serangoon vicinity has been battling a mosquito infestation for the past 4 years. In the last 5 days, he killed almost 200 mosquitoes and kept the dead mozzie as evidence on sheets of toilet paper.
Mr Tan has complaint to NEA about the situation but despite the checks, nothing has improved. His children are still ravaged by the persistent mosquitoes despite wearing covered pants and using insect repellant.
Recently, a 73 year old lady who lived in the area died of dengue fever. Residents in the area are worried if the situation persists, their children risk contracting dengue fever as more mosquitoes appear.
Apparently, her home is about a 5 minute drive away from Mr Tan.
