A reader sent this heartbreaking post to us about an abandoned golden retriever named Anchor who was left to die at BLK 334B, 13th Floor, Sengkang Anchorvale Crescent on the 9th of July.
Facebook user Sg Dogslover is looking for any evidence to trace the Anchor's owner as this is a suspected animal abuse case. Anchor died on 24th June after struggling with illness and neglect.
Sg Dogslover has also penned a goodbye note from Anchor, the abandoned dog, to his heartless owner:
Dear master,
Goodbye.
I know not why I am here. I am too frightened to run and too faithful to leave. The little piece of blanket offered little security to me. Each time i hear footsteps, i hoped it was you who had come to bring me back. What I cant figure out is why you didn't even say goodbye.
I want to go home. I am tired. I am hungry. I am tired of waiting, I am wrought with despair, I am fearful that you no longer care.
On the 9th of June, someone saw me in my sorry plight. I was heartbroken and in so much pain, i lay there in my mess at a lift lobby in SengKang. I was taken to a shelter and then to the Vet. Auntie Maria took me in and put me in hospital.
It has been 2 weeks, I am tired and I want to sleep. I am overrun by pain. Thank you for being by my side and the care that you hv given me.
You call me Anchor, and Anchor shall my name be.
The time has come for me to go. Sunshine is beckoning me and rainbow bridge awaits. I will be in my sharpest and liveliest self; waiting for you by the gates.
Goodbye.
Love, Anchor
