IKEA is recalling the LATTJO bat cape after receiving reports about 3 children who had received marks and scratches on the neck while using the capes.
It appears the cape got stuck and was not easily detachable from the neck of the children.
While no injuries requiring medical attention have been reported globally, to prevent the the risk of strangulation or injuries to the neck, IKEA has decided to take the precautionary measure of recalling the product.
LATTJO bat cape has been sold in Singapore since November 2015.
The LATTJO bat cape can be returned to any IKEA store for a full refund. Proof of purchase (receipt) is not required.
