SMRT Corp announced that it has completed its internal investigations on the track accident that claimed the lives of two of its employees on March 22.
Nasrulhudin Najumudin, 26 and Muhammad Asyraf Ahmad Buhari, 24, were killed while walking on the track of East-West line near Pasir Ris station while investigating an equipment alarm.
In a statement, SMRT informed that they had appointed experts from Keppel Corp, Transport for London (the equivalent of Singapore's Land Transport Authority), and a former executive from Hong Kong's MTR Corp to review the findings. The SMRT Board Risk Committee will form part of the review panel.
The report will then be handed over to the Police and MOM for their statutory investigations.
