When one person sees a ghost, people often laugh it off as a prank or at most a figment of their imagination.
However, over 50 people reported seeing "ghostly" beings in a Kota Baru school since last Monday, prompting concerned parents, students and even teachers to call for the school to shut down while the problem is sorted out.
Reports say that the children in the school have been unable to hold normal classes and most of their time is spent freely mingling with each other on the school grounds, a strategy that allegedly ensures safety in numbers according to one student.
The students claim to have seen all sorts of supernatural beings in the school, from a pontianak to a pochong. The state education department has reportedly sent a number of Ustaz to the school to recite Quranic verses and conduct prayers for the compound.
