At Quan Sheng Wanton Noodles Stall at 37A Teban Gardens Road, the prices of the dishes have not been raised for 20 years.
Not only that, the lady boss, Madam Wong refuse to cut down the ingredients for her dishes. She sells prawn mee, laksa and wanton noodles.
The dumpling noodles are sold for $2.50.
Madam Wong explained that most of her customers have been with her for a longtime and she will not increase prices if she can help it.
“There are many old people in this estate. They don’t have much to eat, and some don’t have much money. For these elderly, a S$2 bowl of noodles is cheap and they can feel full after eating.”
