Hi ASS,
I would like to highlight to you this incident where I saw a few police officers were surrounding this handicapped auntie and a younger girl who might possibly be mentally challenged making a living selling tissues. I have always walked past them and usually they don't harrass people to buy and the auntie will just park her wheelchair in one corner and sell tissues. It is already tough for the handicapped and disabled to find employment as a normal person and the government doesn't provide sufficient welfare.
Why does the police still need to be so harsh by even attempting to deny them of this one and only channel to earn a living? I feel that the police should take a step back when it comes to this. Shouldn't the police be spending more time and effort on solving crimes and catching criminals instead of going around chasing away the mentally challenged and the disabled? Where is the compassion in Singapore? Please help to publish this to create some awareness. Thank you.
