The allegations are shocking, and will be even more frightening if they are confirmed by ongoing police investigations.
According to Ms Lim, who has 2 daughters enrolled in a childcare center in Woodlands since last year, she brought her 2 daughters home one day when she noticed her younger daughter in pain.
She said that the 2 year-old girl refused to sit down and pointed to her private parts, screaming that she hurt down there.
Her husband, 45-year-old cabby Mr Lim, told Chinese daily Shin Min Daily News:
"We took off her pants to check but didn't discover anything out of the ordinary. But that was when my daughter started crying,"
Upon closer inspection, Mrs Lim was horrified to find a leather sticker — the size of a 5-cent coin, the kind usually used on furniture — in the girl's private parts.
The family immediately took the child to see a doctor, who suggested they visit the hospital. After a medical examination, the hospital recommended that the Lims make a police report.
The police confirmed that a report was lodged and investigations are ongoing.
Mr Lim suspects an adult had planted the sticker in his child, leaving her with a small wound. It is not known how this was done but the possibilities are sickening.
He said: "When we applied medicine on her, she would cry that it hurts. Our hearts ache too, seeing her in this state." He added that his daughter was unable to sleep for days after the ordeal.
"She would tell my wife she's in pain," Mr Lim added.
"My wife has to keep her company before she dares to fall asleep."
The Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) said it was aware of the incident.
Shin Min said the police have obtained closed-circuit television footage for their investigation. No teachers have been suspended... yet.
