OCBC bank on Monday announced it would give 8,000 of its Singaporean employees an SG50 gift package worth S$5 million.
From its news release, OCBC said 3,000 of its junior executives and unionised employees in Singapore will each receive 100 OCBC shares so that they can have a stake in the bank's growth.
About 8,000 employees will receive a OCBC SG50 NETS FlashPay card with S$100 in preloaded credit. Each staff in Singapore will receive four complimentary tickets to Gardens by the Bay. Employees will also be able to pay a subsidised rate of S$5 per ticket to Universal Studios Singapore, limited to four per person, the bank said.
The bank's workers will also get to double the credits they earn when they use their OCBC credit cards. For every 2,000 OCBC$, they can convert to 20 flex dollars, instead of the usual 10. The flex dollars can be used to obtain reimbursements for items including medical expenses for family members, and travel-related expenses, said OCBC.
"Our employees have played a big role in OCBC’s success and the country’s success – and we must also not forget their families, who have provided them with unwavering support," said OCBC Bank Group CEO Samuel Tsien.
