Ex-Ambassador Mr. Bilahari Kausikan in his commentary ” Foreign policy is no laughing matter” in the Straits Times dated 8 Jun 2015, in making the observation that Chinese leaders and officials repeatedly refer to Singapore as a “Chinese country”, asked rhetorically: “if we were ever foolish enough to accept China’s designation of us as a “Chinese country”, what would it mean for our social cohesion?”

The possibility or risk of Singapore being drawn increasingly to China’s orbit is always there. There are two developments pointing to this route.

Firstly, the global financial uncertainties and unfriendly immediate neigbourhood situations of earlier times forced Singapore to seek better ties and expand trade with China, possibly as a ready fall back measure, to enhance and ensure the nation’s continuous survival and security. It is to be noted that it was Singapore that was reaching out to China and not the other way round. It was a strategic move made by the Government given the prevailing situations then. It seems to be paying good dividends, at least for now.

Secondly the excessive inflow of foreigners has seen a surge in people arriving, in particular, from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. A huge number of them, will over the years, become citizens and this would alter our demographic profile even more significantly. What is there to stop them eventually from playing a leading role in setting the political direction that Singapore should take? Many of them will have their antennas directed towards China and this may undermine Singapore’s future to remain as an independent and neutral country.

As our neighbours, near and far, catch up on us we will become more irrelevant to them and this will have adverse impact on our economy. Singapore’s need for a hinterland seems to be a given, historically and realistically. For many, the causeway link, probably, has to be to Malaysia or over the seas to China. As for people of my generation, the choice is very clear. We need an astute, nimble, forward looking and forward planning Government to navigate through rough waters and chart our future.

After being told to keep quiet and stay out of politics by Malaysia's Tourism and Culture Minister Nazri Aziz, the sultan of Johor simply uploaded a 17 second video of himself, sitting in a chair looking out into a garden. When the camera closes in on him, Tunku Ismail turns to the camera and makes a "come here" gesture with his left hand.

Not a single word was said, yet the defiance was not lost on his supporters.

Within 5 hours after the video of Tunku Ismail was uploaded on the Johor Southern Tigers Facebook, the video has been viewed over 205,000 times and was shared just under 5,000 times.

Fans took to the page to express their support for the sultan, who enjoys a strong personal support from his people. However, there were detractors who continued to warn him against participating in Malaysian politics.

On Saturday, Datuk Nazri Aziz had publicly warned Tunku Ismail against involving himself in politics.

"He should keep out of politics because otherwise, he will be subject to the same rule and we will whack him," said Datuk Seri Nazri. "Rulers and royal families are above the law. If you want to be a politician then say so, so we can hit you back for what you say.

"But if you hold an important post, as a royalty in a state and start saying things, if we hit you back, don't get angry."

He was responding to a post made by Tunku Ismail on 5th June, which had criticized Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak for failing to attend a dialogue session organized by an non-government organization.

National Solidarity Party (NSP) president Sebastian Teo Kway Huang has spilled the beans on the next big thing to hit Singapore politics - the brainy communications student and former local mode Kevryn Lim!

Speaking to the media about Kevryn, Teo said that the 26 year-old Kevryn is a volunteer with the NSP. Because of her communications pedigree, she was tasked with taking charge of NSP's social media communications and managing the NSP main website and Facebook page.

She is also actively involved in the youth wing of the NSP, where she is a member of the organizing committee in charge of NSP youth activities.

When quizzed about her performance in the party so far, Teo was all praises for Kevryn. Besides being a outstanding and responsible worker, Kevryn consistently walks the ground with the NSP team at Serangoon, Tampines and Marine Parade. Teo said that Kevryn's educational background and passion for socio-political causes has made her the perfect candidate for her roles in the party.

However, Teo declined to comment if Kevryn was the party's successor to popular former NSP candidate Nicole Seah. When pressed for an answer, Teo only said that both women were talented in their own ways.

I would like to say that I'm utterly disgusted at the "prioritization" of the authorities agenda which largely focuses on the political "slaying" and "persecution" of those that they deem a threat to their fascist rule like "Sin Rak Sin Party" to the point it even made our opposition MPs timid in parliament as admitted by Mr Pritam Singh in one of his previous posts.

However, that is not the current focus of my writing which is to display the ineffectiveness and inefficiency of the SPF in bringing serious crime on the ordinary streets under control like the "Little India Riot". Presently, there is this known seventeen year old "terror" at Virtualand Bugis who usually only used to vandalize machines and toilets but never did we of the "Singapore Tekken Forum" ever expected a shock of our lives besides the occasional criminal intimidation of one SAF Regular by the name of "Bernard Sim" whenever he loses a game.

The "terror" photographed seated is Ryan Teo. He viciously stabbed another gamer multiple times in broad daylight with a knife he always carries in his bag after losing a few times. While the victim has been discharged after being treated for serious injuries, police have yet to even arrest this "terror" who is still seen freely roaming the Capital Mall in search of his next victim.

Hence, I find it absolutely ridiculous of PAP IB "Lynn Lee" to suggest that the authorities are protecting us over the apprehension of Amos.
We don't need to be protected from Amos as his only "crime" so to say, is to provide constant "entertainment" for us. It is from psychopaths such as Ryan that the authorities really need to protect the public from! Perhaps, Lynn needs to experience that in order to know why proper planning of governmental resources is desperately warranted at this juncture.

This $12 taxi fare should be paid long ago, waited for weeks finally on 13/06/2015 afternoon transfer me.

After paid still YAYA like that, is she thinking after paying me taxi fare $12 can YAYA. Viewer pls think am i really wanna find porblem with her? Or is her attitude? Wrong still don't wan admit.

Keep saying she got transfer another $12. Come on, taxi driver's TIME IS EQUAL TO MONEY. If in the first place i got receive the $12 i dont have to waste time do the post to ask all taxi drivers to beware her.

If she so sure she did another transfer of $12 should go report police and not transfering me the $12 right.

Pissed Off Taxi Driver

I have already mentioned in a previous article how to abolish NS if Singaporeans are for it. NS is a sticky issue. Some Singaporeans are for it, having being brain washed by the PAP to think that it: 1) makes boys become men; 2) protects Singapore from a potential Malaysian invasion; 3) dissuades Malaysia from not wanting to sell water to Singapore; and 4) it's a national duty. However, there are also many Singaporeans who do not favour NS. I've already listed many times why there is no need for NS so I will not repeat those reasons here. Instead I will elaborate on some ways to revamp NS if abolishment is not an option.

First of all, the job of any government is to make the lives of its citizens better. Get it? "Citizens". Not "Foreign Talents". The PAP apparently does NOT get it. Hence the draconian policies that it puts in place to "protect" the common Singaporeans to "enrich" the elites in Singapore. National Service, my brothers and sisters, is one of them. Sadly to say, it might be here to stay. So, for the 60.1% of you out there, this one is dedicated to you. LHL and your million dollar ministers, please pay attention. You might learn a thing or two.

So how to improve NS in order to better the lives of Singaporean (males)? I can think of a few off the top of my head.

1) Reduce NS to 6 months. This is a no-brainer. It doesn't take even a few days on how to use a gun or rifle. Even NPCC and NCC cadets know how to shoot these weapons. 6 months definitely is more than enough. No need to lengthen it for the PAP to brain wash you any further.

2) Introduce NS for ALL citizens and PRs. This includes women too. Sure, if they are too weak to carry rifles, there are many ways to contribute, such as being put into civil defence or being assigned to the medical unit. If we don't trust PRs to carry guns, let's assign them to 6 months in the engineer corp. This makes it fair for Singaporean males who have been disadvantaged for too long.

3) Make reservist compulsory for ALL citizens and PRs. Shorten this to 5 years max. Lessen this to 3 days per year.

4) Increase the number of regulars. By doing so, the quantity of military personnel can be maintained.

5) This is for SAF in general. Decrease the number of general officers. Heck, let's go further to reduce the number of colonels and lieutenant colonels. It seems like the SAF hands these ranks out like it's free, almost like our citizenship. If you look at other armies around the world, there are very few of these senior officers. It is highly unusual for someone to attain the rank of BG before the age of 45. LHL became a BG at age 31? Get real. In other militaries, he won't even be able to attain the rank of captain. This is horse shit. Promote based on performance, not "A" Levels results.

6) Increase the pay of ALL in NS.

7) Make NS for flexible by allowing university studies (all the way up to PhD) before serving NS. This will eliminate any "White Horse" syndrome, as is the case now for the sons of the PAP elites. The PAP thinks all Singaporeans are stupid by denying this is happening.

8) Eliminate NS requirements for those emigrating. Why tie people down if they want to find a better life elsewhere. Let them go. Don't penalize them. Right now, there are up to 10,000 Singaporean men abroad who cannot return because they haven't served NS. It doesn't matter they hold US, Canadian, UK, or Australian citizenships and passports.

9) Eliminate the need for Exit Permits. Again, this is a tool by the PAP to lock down Singaporeans. This needs to go.

10) This one is for all Singaporeans. Vote the PAP out. Singapore WILL survive!

National Slavery

I think our Singapore government secretly supports the repeal of S377A and same-sex marriage except they don't officially declare it so as not to upset religious voters who are the vocal minority but pretend to be the silent majority as if they represent all Singaporeans.

If you look at the SEA Games competition, we can see some national athletes who are of a similar orientation. Yes they do not openly declare and scream about their orientation but they are free to represent the country.

Similarly, the govt service has also mention before that they do not discriminate based on orientation, but of course they try to keep this matter hush hush so as not to piss off those meddlesome butt hurt conservatives.

18 year-old local rapper and YouTube personality Toh Yifan, also known as Tzire, was arrested by police on Wednesday after an 18 year-old female freelance make up artist reported him to the police for uploading nude photos of her online.

The rapper had posted a nude photo of the woman on Facebook, which was picked up by a local forum and went viral. Some time later, the woman made a police report leading to Tzire's arrest.

"He added me (as a friend) and ased me to like his page, and we started chatting from there," the woman said.

Tzire invited the woman to his home on 22nd April, where they both played strip poker. After they had both removed all their clothing, the woman performed a sex act on Tzire after losing a bet.

The woman added that Tzire even made her a snack before she wen hoe.

On 4th May, Tzire contacted the girl and asked for a loan of $120 but she refused. According to the messages sent by Tzire, he was heavily in debt to loan sharks.

On Wednesday, he tried to borrow $150 from her again, but when she refused, he threatened to release nude photos of her from their strip poker affair. Realizing that he had a hold on the girl, he then demanded increasing amounts from her, ranging from $250, $400 and eventually raising the bar to $1000. According to Tzire, he owned a total of $3,100 to loan sharks.

The woman claims that she has never passed any money to the rapper, although she said that she cried when Tzire said that he had her photos.

"I cried. I didn't know what to do. I couldn't sleep, it was a traumatizing experience."

After uploading the photo, Tzire allegedly apologized for blackmailing the woman and said that he had removed photo already.

"Why must he do this to me? His parents are well off, they live in a big flat. Why must he take money from loan sharks or me?" she said.

When asked why she had decided to play strip poker with Tzire, she said that he "was cute and spoke with an ang mo accent."

Over the past 2 days, large groups of Christians dressed in white were spotted in the areas of Suntec City and Marine Parade.

This symbolic act is part of a campaign by Christian pastor Lawrence Khong from Faith Community Baptist Church (FCBC), who called on his congregation and Love Singapore Network churches to don white for their services this weekend.

In a Facebook message posted on Friday, Khong said that by doing this, Christians would be showing their support for the traditional one-man-one-woman family unit and opposing the annual homosexual themed Pink Dot celebration.

"This weekend, we Wear White to affirm the important role that the family plays in nation building. A healthy family is the foundation of a strong nation, and many problems we face in our society today are the result of hurts and pains within a dysfunctional home," he wrote.

He added, "The devil is promoting same-sex marriage because he seeks to distort and destroy the earthly image of God. This act is one of the highest forms of blasphemy against our Holy God."

According to photos on the church's Facebook, their services were filled with devotees who decked themselves in white on white attire.

Meanwhile, Muslims too have been at the receiving end of calls for them to wear white for their Ramadan eve celebrations. According to a Facebook post by religious teacher Noor Deros, who leads a "Wear White" campaign for Muslims in Singapore, he hopes that Muslims would do 3 things in preparation for the Holy Month of Ramadan.

"1- Welcome Ramadan by freeing ourselves from falsehood, such as false conceptions of freedom and love.
2- Avoid any gatherings that goes against the values taught by the prophets of God throughout human history, one example will be the Pinkdot gathering this 13th of June.
3- Be wary of deviant teachings that masquerades as true Islam by respecting proper and serious Islamic scholarship."

A Bedok South resident was left terrified after spotting an eerie black figure floating along the corridor at Block 70 near Bedok South Road.

The resident took a video of the incident and posted it on the Real Ghost Stories facebook page. This was what the resident said:

Writing in The Malaysian Insider recently, Dr Amar Singh posed five questions on the responsiveness (or lack thereof) by our local support and emergency services which everyone of us should be very concerned about.

The earthquake had occurred at 7.15am. What time were emergency and rescue services alerted? Who coordinated the rescue? What time were the helicopters dispatched? How was information on the disaster coordinated and shared and who was responsible? Why did the helicopters not reach the climbers when eyewitness accounts stated the weather was good?

Could the time factor in the SAR response and efficiency have made a difference? We will never know, but one guide did perish due to loss of blood.

However, the response from the Singapore side was a classic study of supreme efficiency, total discipline and an operation executed like clockwork with hardly a single hiccup.

Based on firsthand account narrated by someone who was there from Zero Hour touch down at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport till the mission was accomplished and all of her citizens safely home this was how it was carried out.

A screengrab of a Filipino FT's foul mouth tirade against Singapore has went viral since yesterday night. The Facebook post by RJ Ronaldo was foul-mouthed, disrespectful and highly incendiary against Singapore. He even called Singapore, China's bitch and threatened to invade Singapore with the help of the USA. 

He said: "Singapore a small shit of land with mongoloid people hu didn't know shit just got developed bcuz of the british and too dumb do its own shit and hires skilled and proffesional Filipinos..wait till the US and Philippines wage war against china, yes right were gonna invade u china's bitch singaporeshit and will fuck you real good!!!"

This over the top tirade was met with much derison on the internet and even a presumably Filipino "Olana Irvin Melendres" called him out and told RJ Ronaldo that he was too much and should stop it. 

As expected Singaporeans have not reacted kindly to his harsh and inflammatory words and this is like "EdzEllo" happening all over once more. Will RJ Ronaldo feign ignorance and claim that he was hacked once the flames get too hot to handle?

Will RJ Ronaldo face the same fate as EdzEllo? Or will he ride into the sunset unscathed after the serious threats made against Singapore? 

Although I don't quite like what Amos has done and I find him extremely rude and spoilt as teenage, but I do not think it is right for the state to practice torture to a teenager by sending him to adult prison and pushing him to the brink of insanity with suicidal tendency. I believe if the state continues its current doing onto Amos, I won't be surprised that he would end up committing suicide and died either in prison or captivity. Who will be responsible for such ending if it happens?

What Amos needs is proper counselling and a good mentor; not some over reaction from an insensitive, or rather, "over sensitive thin skin" state machinery; least some crude and irresponsible over-punishment by the state.

The state should not be so childish in playing the game of "tit for tat" of kiddos. The state is required to act appropriately to administer and uphold Rule of Law.

I saw this ridiculous image shared by bernardkhoo showing resident hanging their laundry out of their windows! This is not the designated area to hang their bamboo poles out but they did anyway. this is putting other residents life at risk!!!

Can you imagine what will happen if the bamboo poles drop to the ground due to strong winds or lack of stability? There is no holders to hold these poles in place at all. What if a child or old folk is downstairs when the poles drop on them? Can you be responsible for their injury or maybe death?

If not injury maybe your water drip drip and onto bypasser's head. this is disgusting also.

Even if you got too many laundry also cannot endanger yrneighbours life like that wat. Pls be responsible neighbours and dont do such danger actions leh, use some brain plesae.

Hope HDB or town council can do something about this.

Beware of this clinic which collected a wheel-clamp release fee of $300 which they are NOT authorised to.

On 15 Nov 2014, I had parked my car at a public slip road abutting a corner shophouse at 74 Thomson Road ( The shop name is Animal Infirmary, it's a pet clinic. Photo attached ). There was no traffic lines, no reserved lots..etc to indicate no parking though there was a signboard stating this is 'private residence and ... shall be wheel-clamped '. Thus I double-checked and verified with OneMap in my iPad. It stated clearly it is State Land so I know it's not their land. I locked my car and left.
Upon my return, my car was wheel-clamped. The car was pasted with 2 notes ( attached note) to go to 74 Thomson Road to get it released at a fee of $300.

On the spot, with the iPad, I showed them in OneMap that this small area is State Land and thus does not belong to them but they claimed and insisted it was theirs. They simply refused to unlock. They also claimed they had LTA authorisation to clamp too. They even challenged us to call the Police.

I called the Police and two came. I showed them OneMap. They spoke to them for some time and came out saying they couldn't do anything nor ask for the any form of verification document because they refused. I was simply astounded, puzzled and helplessly 'paralysed'!

I continued to plead with them to show the land ownerships or any form of LTA email or authorisation but they simply ignored and refused to talk!

Is it illegal to wheel clamp if this is not your land?
Is it some form of extortion?
Is it illegal restraint?
Is it amount to lying to the 2 Police officers when they said they had LTA's authorisation when they actually did not? (Attached article of lying to Police)

My wife called LTA hotline ,thinking they must have the most detailed information that can verify land ownerships, one lady officer replied, 'If they say the land is theirs, it's theirs.' We were totally flabbergasted!

I had also observed there was another Toyota Silver car ( plate no: SJL 4867H - 2 photos, one on the same day and one on Monday) that was wheel-clamped on the same day. We waited for the driver to return so that we could join forces to get them to unlock. But there was no sight of him.

After about 3 hours of stress and trauma suffered by my family of 4 ( 2 adults and 2 young girls) , I helplessly paid $300 to have it released. An official print-out receipt ( photo attached) was issued and including GST!

With regards to the Toyota car, I returned on Monday to check it out. I was shocked to find it wheel-clamped again! But this time it was facing outwards. ( On Sat, It was parked facing inwards). Photos attached. I suspected it belonged to the shop and they had deliberately clamped it to mislead, lie and instil fear on the Public that it was their private land when it is not.
Is it illegal?
Is it cheating?
Is it instilling fear?

I lodged a police report and the investigation lasted for more than 4 months.
The final verdict from the Police was they are not supposed to collect the wheel clamp fee. The shop was asked to remove the signboard! The police wanted to return the $300 to me saying the shop was not supposed to collect. I refused to collect. The police will not take further action! But said however this does not preclude you from seeking redress by taking civil proceedings if you want to pursue the matter!

Wang Yinchu had a bright future ahead of him, but his future now looks a little bleaker now that the SAF has decided to sentence him to 18 months Detention Barracks for going AWOL in October 2008.

In 2008, 22 year-old Wang was one month away from completing his national service. However, his academic term at the University of Cambridge was starting and MINDEF had not approved his deferment so that he could go and attend to his studies.

Realizing that he would lose his place in the university if he did not attend school, he decided to go AWOL and pursue his pre-clinical medical studies at Cambridge regardless of MINDEF's approval. He spent 5 years abroad to finish his degree there.

When he returned on 2nd July alst year, he was charged in a SAF court and sentenced to 3 weeks detention. However, the chief military prosecutor appealed against this sentence on 29th May asking for a stiffer sentence.

The request was granted, and Wang Yinchu was given 18 months of detention.
