The newly set up People's Power Party (PPP), led by its secretary-general Goh Meng Seng, 45, says it hopes to be the representative of "ordinary Singaporeans".
Its 4 member team would be contesting Choa Chu Kang GRC against incumbent Health Minister Mr Gan Kim Yong, 56.
Mr Goh founded his party in May this year and will be competing in one GRC. He will be flanked by finance and administrative manager Low Wai Choo, 55, property consultant Lee Tze Shih, 42, and managing consultant Syafarin Sarif, 39.
Mr Goh also repeated his challenge to Mr Gan for a debate on healthcare issues. Mr Gan has replied that he would accept the challenge depending on what Mr Goh wanted to raise. He explained that there was no need for a debate on healthcare as healthcare topics had been debated extensively in parliament.
