Our reader has pointed out a terrible mistake printed on a Pet Care booklet distributed by the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority. Read her complaint here.
Dear Admin
Someone visited Pet Expo yesterday
I was informed of a "HORRIBLE MISTAKE " on Pet Care Handbook
" TRIMMING OF CLAWS " of turtles is considered as " DOING CRUELTY "to these species. Similar to "DECLAWING CATS " cruelty
AVA could have written the Pet Care Handbook as AVA logo is printed on handbook
If so, how can AVA encouraged owners to do such "BRAINLESS and IGNORANT" act to helpless turtles
The NATURAL WAY to trim claws of turtles is let them "WALK" on ground more often
