I read w amusement how an angry mom w 3year old kid on the MRT was pissed off bcos no one offers their seat to them.
Let's get real, people should not "expect" others to meet their expectations and please do not try to use the "courtesy" excuse. This 'sense of entitlement' is really getting 'old'. When people get on the MRT, realistically speaking, they do not have an 'obligation' to give up their seat. The choice to do so is a personal one. If they choose not to do so, let it be.
At 6.30pm when most people get off work, many are generally mentally n physically fatigued. We can question why must the mother be travelling during peak hours with an infant.
Do not get me wrong, I made it a habit to offer seat in the MRT to elderly people but some of them even declined. They have pride to hold up their own.
