My dog (a golden retriever) was allegedly accused of biting a passerby and we were informed to report to AVA within 7 days, otherwise we would be breaching the law.
However, when we reached AVA today, AVA staffs were adamant that my dog had bitten the passerby. When we asked for further information, they said that they were unable to share the CCTV footage. If we want to view the footage, we would have to get a lawyer and file a case against AVA. Our golden is an extremely sweet boy and based on our experience with him for 3 years, it is really difficult for us to believe that he had indeed bitten a person.
During the time of the incident, my parent was the one who was walking the dog and he said that he couldn't assess if the dog had bitten the passerby.
Anyone has came across such cases where AVA refuses to share the footage/ investigation details?
Thanks in advance!
