A shipyard worker was hospitalised in the intensive care unit after fainting while working in an oil tank onboard a crude oil tanker the M/V Pavinospirit. The tanker was docked at Sembcorp Marine's Admiralty Yard when the incident happened.
The incident happened at 4pm on Saturday afternoon while the worker was together with 3 other colleagues conducting thickness measurements of the oil tanks on board the ship. The victim fainted and was found at the bottom of the tank which had a layer of oily residue at the time of the incident.
